The palate is soft and pillowy, giving off an opulent approach to the wine, as this effortlessly glides throughout the drinking experience. Right away the beautiful red florals amaze on the nose, with shades of smoldering stones, green olive tapenade, and suggestions of hoisin sauce, with a pure core of red fruits. The Grenache from the ‘Fiddleneck Vineyard’ comes off as very stony and elegant but also very floral. After time he noticed Fiddleneck flowers that were appearing all across the vineyard. Years ago Christophe Baron acquired this site set on large cobblestones and let it sit for several years before planting in 2015. The mouth-watering acidity presented in this beautiful, very sexy Grenache is just second to none. It has been such a pleasure to taste this ebullient wine now several times over the past year.
